NBA legend Vince Carter visited the Empire State Building to honor the number 15 jersey retirement in partnership with the Brooklyn Nets. During the lighting ceremony, Carter flipped the famous light switch, lighting the building Navy Blue + White + Red with the #15 Rotating in the Mast for the remainder of the night. He then posed for pictures on the Grand Staircase and immersive 2nd Floor Exhibits, including Kong and Construction, before heading up to the iconic 86th and 102nd Floor Observatories. 

  • Vince Carter has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, and many others. 
  • Carter won the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 1999. 
  • Carter primarily played as the shooting guard and small forward positions. Later in his career, he occasionally played power forward.
