ESB Shines Blue to Celebrate NYCFC's 10th Anniversary and Home Opener

On March 5, the Empire State Building’s world-famous tower lights lit up in light blue in celebration of New York City FC’s 10th Anniversary and Season Home Opener.

Earlier that day, the Empire State Building hosted a lighting ceremony with club legend and former NYCFC midfielder Andrea Pirlo, NYCFC Captain and midfielder Maxi Moralez, and NYCFC goalkeeper Matt Freese, who flipped the famous light switch.

After the ceremony, Andrea, Maxi and Matt toured the Observatory Experience – which was recently named the #1 attraction in the World in Tripadvisor’s 2024 Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best Things to Do, and #1 Attraction in the U.S. for the third consecutive year – and posed for photos on the building’s 86th and 102rd Floor Observatories.
