The Empire State Building lit up magenta, yellow, and cyan to honor Children's Mental Health Awareness Day on May 8, in partnership with the Kids Mental Health Foundation. The Foundation is the leading organization that promotes mental health for children in the United States.
Earlier that day, actress and children's mental health activist Alexandra Daddario visited the Observatory Experience to flip the famous switch and tour the building's immersive museum. The actress posed for photos on the building's 86th and 102nd Floor Observatories.
Each year, National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day highlights the importance of children’s mental health and shows that positive mental health is essential to a child’s healthy development. This year, the Kids Mental Health Foundation will launch a national campaign to promote its vision to build a world where mental health is a vital part of every child’s upbringing.
