Babyface and D-Nice Light ESB in Red and Gold for the Apollo Theater's 90th Anniversary

ESB celebrates another New York City legend.

On June 5, the Empire State Building shined its world-famous tower lights in red and gold to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the historic Apollo Theater.

Earlier that day, singer-songwriter & producer Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and DJ & record producer D-Nice visited the building to flip the switch in a lighting ceremony to honor the milestone and toured the Observatory Experience's immersive exhibits.

Since 1934, The Apollo has celebrated, created, and presented work that centers around Black artists and voices, and has been a catalyst for social and civic advocacy. The Apollo Theater will celebrate 90 tears of dynamic energy and forward motion at its annual Spring Benefit on June 11.
