ESB Shines Blue for the Final Season of "Blue Bloods"

Pass the potatoes.

The Empire State Building lit its iconic tower lights in blue on Oct. 18 to celebrate the premiere of the final season of CBS' "Blue Bloods."

Earlier that day, the building hosted a lighting ceremony with cast members Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Len Cariou, Vanessa Ray, Abigail Hawk, and Marisa Ramirez, who flipped the famous light switch. After the ceremony, the cast toured the Observatory Experience and posed for photos on the 86th and 102nd Floor Observatories.

The cast of “Blue Bloods” partnered with the Detective Endowments Association Widows' and Children's Fund, which provides financial help to families of NYPD Detectives who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
