Liz Gillies Lights the Empire State Building Blue for World Smile Day

Make someone smile today!

On Oct. 4, the Empire State Building shined its world-famous tower lights in blue to celebrate World Smile Day, in partnership with Smile Train.

Earlier that day, actress, singer, and Smile Train ambassador Liz Gillies flipped the switch in a lighting ceremony and toured the building's immersive museum and iconic Observatories.

Artist Harvey Ball’s iconic smiley face has become a recognizable symbol of good will and cheer since he created it in 1963. Harvey declared the first Friday of October to be World Smile Day – a day devoted to kind acts throughout the world.

Smile Train is the world's largest cleft-focused organization, who have supported safe, high-quality, and free care for more than two million children throughout the last 25 years. Learn more about Smile Train here.
