It’s voting time!
The annual Empire State Building Digital Content Contest finalists are here – and you get to choose the category winners. Photographers from around the world flocked to New York City to get their best shots of the Empire State Building with hopes to win the top prize of $5,000.

The Categories
Photographers of all skill levels captured the “World’s Most Famous Building” in all its glory, from its iconic Art Deco façade to the views from its iconic Observatory Experience. Images were submitted to compete for a prize in each entry category.
This year’s categories included:
- ESB x City Wide – pictures of ESB surrounded by the New York City landscape
- Beginner Entry – shots from photo newbies
- Observatory Views – features ESB’s iconic views taken from one of the Observatories
- Sunset & Sunrise – photos of or from ESB during the golden hours
- Smartphone Shot – snaps taken with an iPhone or similar
- Photoshop/Edit – creative edits from unique backgrounds to starry night skies
- Weather Shot – captures of the building under rain, sleet, snow, or rainbow
- Nightscapes – shots of the building lit up after sunset
- Video – 30 second video clips of ESB in all her glory
- General Entry – shots that don’t fit any of the above categories
How to Vote in the Empire State Building Digital Content Contest
Hundreds have entered the 2024 Digital Content Contest, but only 10 entries can move on to become category winners, a runner-up, and a grand prize winner! Two category winners will then have the chance to move on to the finals, voted on by the public via the Empire State Building’s social channels.
