WATCH: The Jonas Brothers Come Full-Circle with JonasCon

Has it really been 20 years?

Everyone’s favorite early-2000s family band, the Jonas Brothers, celebrated their two decades as a group with a namesake festival, a new album and anniversary tour announcement, and an Empire State Building tower lighting

Nick, Joe, and Kevin honored the major milestone with a visit to the Empire State Building ahead of JonasCon to flip the iconic light switch, tour the immersive museum exhibits, and take in New York City’s best views from the 86th and 102nd Floor Observatories. On the way up, the brothers surprised a group of fans when they crashed a lookalike contest on the building’s 80th Floor and crowned the winners from a group of finalists.

The trio sat down just before the lighting ceremony to talk fashion faux pas and their favorite Jonas Brothers songs, and to settle New Jersey’s age-old argument: pork roll or Taylor ham?

JonasCon – the one-day ode to all things Jonas – took place at the American Dream mall in the boys’ home state of New Jersey on March 23. Though the brothers announced they would kick off their 2025 “Living the Dream Tour” just across the street at the massive MetLife Stadium, the shopping center venue was all too familiar, down to the identical van-and-trailer transportation.

“When we were young in the band, we would perform in malls in hopes that people would listen to us,” Joe said in an interview at the Empire State Building. “It felt right that 20 years later we are performing [at the] American Dream mall [with a van and trailer] identical to the ones we had when we were younger.”

The “Living the Dream Tour” – that will feature appearances from Marshmello, the All-American Rejects, and Boys Like Girls – promises to be a celebration of the band’s two decades, from their meteoric rise to a certain viral “Camp Rock” dance sequence.

“We have been touring for a very long time, but every tour we put on, we try to make it special and unique and new,” said Kevin. “We are here because of our fans, so we are going to give them a show that really represents that.”

In a round of rapid-fire questions in their “ESB Exclusives” interview, the brothers agreed on Kevin’s ability to survive on a desert island and his questionable taste in scarves.

As for the Jersey sandwich debate – “we’re divided on this,” Nick said.
