Padma Lakshmi

Indian-American author, model, activist, and television host Padma Lakshmi visited the World's Most Famous Building to celebrate the start of AAPI Heritage Month. Lakshmi flipped the famous light switch, lighting the building Gold. She was then photographed throughout the Observatory, including the 102nd Floor.
- Lakshmi has written several cookbooks that showcase her love for food, such as Tangy Tart Hot & Sweet and Easy Exotic.
- Lakshmi is able to speak multiple languages, such as Tamil, Hindi, Spanish, and Italian.
- She received the Harper's Bazaar Humanitarian Award in 2009 for her philanthropic efforts.
